
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba hosted a glorious outdoor ceremony to recognise outstanding staff, dedicated to continuing professional development and improving the care of local patients, residents and their families.

St Vincent’s Foundation Queensland Board Chair Michael E. Drew, and fellow board directors Anne Cross AM, Sr Clare Nolan rsc and Oli Steele – were joined by St Vincent’s Health Australia CEO – Chris Blake, along with Darlene Dreise, Kristopher McMurdy and Malcolm Casey at the presentation of the Foundation’s annual Elizabeth Fraser Scholarships to:
*Kathryn Ingold, Speech Pathologist – completing her final certification in Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing to assist patients with swallowing disorders.
* Milan Acharya, Food Services Supervisor – undertaking a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition and Dietetic Support) to strengthen collaboration with our dietitians and speech pathologists and improve menu quality, food safety and patient care.
*Alexandra Walters, Clinical Nurse Perioperative Services – funding three specialised resources for the cardiac cath lab team to enhance education around complex procedures, equipment and techniques.
*Wendy Callcott, Allied Health Manager, was also recognised for her ambassador role in raising funds for the vital cough/respiratory assistance machine purchased through community donations to this year’s tax-time appeal.

The Foundation’s leadership, Anna Herbert and Greg Potent were delighted with the collegial spirit again on show at the Toowoomba scholarship ceremony – recognising the legacy and generosity of Elizabeth Fraser.
Today’s celebration reaffirms St Vincent’s Foundation Queensland commitment to funding exceptional care for all Queenslanders, at every stage of life.
